Reseña de álbum

Thought Industry never makes it easy on the listener. From album to album, the Kalamazoo crew never stands still for a second, going from thrashy to grandiose prog passages to shorter, more to-the-point numbers, and on this, the band's sixth, their least metallic and most dynamic material. A few cuts are melodic masterpieces that immediately make an impact, especially "I'm Lonely (Like a Cancer)" and the spacy "Particle Hustler." But Thought Industry really excels when challenging the listener, such as on the Peter Gabriel-infused "Lovers in Flames"; "Tall Ship on the Rocks," which sounds like Kansas meets the Church, believe it or not; and "Longfellow," a brooding roller-coaster ride through the band's vivid imagination. It is sad to see Thought Industry so misunderstood. Make no mistake; it's perfectly understandable why — the great ones always are. ~ Brian O'Neill, Rovi
