Reseña de álbum

This Jazz Archives LP, a follow-up to "B" Flat Swing, features the great swing pianist Teddy Wilson in a variety of settings from the same time period. He is heard on four songs with the sextet that also performed on the latter LP, jamming with trumpeter Emmett Berry, trombonist Benny Morton and clarinetist Edmond Hall. However, seven other selections star either the fiery Roy Eldridge, the exciting Charlie Shavers or the great Cootie Williams on trumpet in Wilson's unit with vibraphonist Red Norvo, and "Sweet Lorraine" finds the pianist showcased as the lead voice with Paul Barron's radio orchestra. Timeless music.
