EzCab – Ride Hailing App 4+

Where do I even start. This app… From my experience, oftentimes, the fare is much cheaper than Grab ride. Often, it would be perhaps RM2 or RM3 cheaper, at most, RM5, which is good for the customers obviously. I would love nothing more than to support our local cabbies, but the truth is, a lot of them are reckless at driving, sometimes (8/10 of them) grouchy whenever I paid using QR pay instead of cash, and plain rude.

The app itself: it’s full of bugs. Sometimes, I would have to spam the book button multiple times to be able to book a ride. There were times when I had to pay personally to the driver’s account because the app would glitch after the ride was over and the driver couldn’t use the app.

There was one particular incident where I couldn’t book a ride because turns out the driver didn’t click booking finished or something on his end. I had to contact the support multiple times, and they kept informing me oh they’d contact the driver etc. Till this day, I still couldn’t use the app to book a ride. That’s just one of the many flaws of this app.

First of all, the driver is not being well trained and irresponsible!! I know is unfair to other driver and maybe I’m the unlucky one. The driver send us a text and refuse to pick us up after we waited for him for more than 30 minutes!! Moreover he refused to cancel the trip through the apps! Beforehand, we even call him twice and make sure our location and he told us he knew and he is on his way to pick us up. Me and my friend waiting by the road side in the middle of the night!!! Ridiculously, I received an invoice from EzCab after 2 hours! Advice from me, if u still think of using this apps don’t ever pay by card!! Pay CASH!!! I filed a complaint through the call center and they told me that they can’t do anything?? Haha I’m not sure what kind customer service is this! I would just advice the users of this apps, use at your own risk!

Driver insisted to take the route which has to pass through the toll. When we requested to take the toll-free route, the driver imposed conditions in which we have to pay according to his meter instead of the fixed rate from App. Incompetent and lack of knowledge using the App by driver by asking the customer to pay by cash even though the payment method chosen was credit card. Reason being he never activate the credit card account with Ezcab. Grab Car would definitely the best choice at this moment.
