Finds the exact Qibla direction to Al-Kaaba in Mecca.
Simple one click application.
It uses the correct Qibla direction method obtained by the spherical trigonometric formula, as described by dr Kamal Abdali, using your current location.
Qibla Finder does not communicate over Internet, so it will not generate data traffic costs if you are travelling abroad.
What's New in Version 2.0
It now has a built in sun compass and also a magnetic declination indicator which makes it the most accurate directional device possible when used together with a compass.
The magnetic north pole can differ more than 30 degrees compared to the North Pole, depending on your specific location. Never trust a compass if you don't know the local magnetic declination.
It Works on iPhone OS 3.0
I updated my firmware to OS 3.0. It works fine too. For those who don't have iPhone 3GS; which have real compass, this application is suitable for you to find qiblah during day time. Thank you guys.
Not working on iPodT
It doesn't work on my iPodTouch :( - over wifi. 1. With location services enabled, the Lat./Long shows zeros. 2. The Compass is frozen. 3. Perhaps developers can make use of the "accelerator" mode in 'floating" the compasss as one rotates iPodT/iPhone - that will be cool. Thanks.
Not function fully. Just a picture
