Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Yamp plays FLAC (and other formats) audio tracks stored locally or on remote servers (HTTP and NFS, requires WiFi). Audio content can be downloaded to Yamp using iTunes App File Sharing or through Yamp's FTP, Web or NFS downloading capability (requires WiFi). Audio content can be organized into folders and moved/copied between folders. Yamp takes advantage of the iPad's equalizer presets. Music Library content is not accessible through Yamp. For parental control purposes, downloading through the web and FTP can be disabled.
What's New in Version 3.30
1) The ability to play 24-bit FLAC files and better support for 24-bit non-FLAC files. 2) Track compare - a feature which allows the listener to compare two or more tracks of (presumably) the same recording but which have one or more differing characteristic(s). For example, if there is a 16-bit 44.1khz and 24-bit 96khz tracks of the same recording, Yamp can play between the tracks such that one track continues playing at the same time point from where the other track just stopped playing. 3) PDF, DOC (not DOCX), TXT and RTF documents can now be viewed in Yamp. 4) Yamp can now mixdown multi-channel files (up to 8 channels) into 2 channels. 5) Bug fixes and improvements. For details and new feature limitations, please read the Yamp instructions or visit the Yamp app site.
