Named for the chemical compound of sulfuric acid, H2SO4 blends together industrial, punk, and dance elements on their debut album Machine-Turned Blues. Songs like "Kidnap in Paradise," "Little Soul," and "Imitation Leather Jacket" feature insistent basslines and beats topped with synth washes and searing guitars. Though their brand of electronica isn't the most original, their first full-length effort shows that H2SO4 has the potential to generate more chemistry with their future material.

Songwriting is the secret ingredient that H2SO4 used to create its version of blending pop, rock, and technology into a sound that wails with raw energy.
