What a power.

An exceptional get-together, and this after all these years. The trio line-up is so naked, one almost cannot afford to make a mistake. Still, the chance to excel is even bigger. The voices, the instruments and the songs: all are cristall clear. And again one can only say "What a power!". What a mastery of instruments. My advice is to buy this document immediately and enjoy it to the most.

Simply great recording!!!

Without doubt: exceptional!

This album, this music... all it takes: one guitar player, one drummer, one bass player and one voice. This is classical. Like Bach, Chopin, Mozart. This is jazz. Like Parker, Coltrane, Miles. This is blues, this is rock and roll. It's authentic, pure and honest. No hiding, no technical polish, it is what it is. And it's so damn real. And these guys are so incredible good, their playing, their interaction, their ability to perform. Listen to it and again and again. And buy the DVD (with the at iTunes missing tune Badge!!) and watch them play. I think in the end there are only just a few, really just a few albums that really really matter. Well, this is one of them. For sure.

Cream were the first top group to truly exploit the power trio format, in the process laying the foundation for much blues-rock and hard rock of the 1960s and 1970s. It was with Cream, too, that guitarist Eric Clapton truly became an international superstar. Critical revisionists have tagged the band as overrated, citing the musicians'...
