Geweldig praktische app voor Beacon interactie
Met de app kun je via live, inbox, Beacons dichtbij of bedrijven snel zien waar Beacons zich bevinden en ben je zelf in de gelegenheid om te kiezen voor wel of niet notificaties ontvangen of inbox items zoals coupons en vouchers. De live functie is heel handig om direct naar relevante beacons in de buurt te scannen en de content direct op je device af te spelen. Ideaal voor video of muziek bij een object. Gave versie van deze toepassing van location based services dmv beacons.
Ibeacons in Leeuwarden
Afgelopen weekend per toeval tegen de werking van iBeacons aangelopen. Ik had er wel online over gelezen en had de app Lightcurb bij de lancering gedownload. Want als marketeer hou ik nieuwe technologie scherp in de gaten. Alleen had ik de technologie nog nooit in het echt zien werken tot ik afgelopen weekend door Leeuwarden liep. Op verschillende punten, o.a. bij de schoenfabriek en de walrus kreeg ik notificaties. Later las ik op internet dat ze een pilot met iBeacons aan het doen zijn in Leeuwarden. Gaaf om te zien dat ze dit in de stad Leeuwarden oppakken en offline / online aan elkaar koppelen. Ben erg benieuwd naar de verdere uitrol. Ik hou het in ieder geval in de gaten.
