Guitarist and singer Jamie Walker's early roots on the Boston rock scene included an '80s band known as the Drive, one of few ensembles whose name is actually descriptive of the combo touring process. Walker and bandmate Paul Kochanski, a bassist and vocalist, continued together in the Swinging Steaks, sounding like something well worth taking a driving break for. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
