Pale Jasmine: A Beijing Expat Murder Mystery

Living as an expat in Beijing is exciting. But it certainly becomes an adventure once murder is involved! Under the warm October sun, two friends stumble across two dead ladies in very different locations: one in a typical suburban expat compound in Beijing and the other one - since the expat’s favourite pastime is travelling - on a tropical island. 
Neither of them ever had any intention of becoming an amateur sleuth. However, circumstances soon force them to dig deeper into the lives of the victims. Since they cannot resort to taking finger prints or interrogate suspects, they do need to employ all their wits to uncover secrets from their neighbours and friends. Who can be trusted in an unfamiliar country?
When one of the investigative ladies goes missing, it becomes a race against time to find the culprit behind the wicked deeds. In urgent need for answers, we will roam the streets of Beijing, go on school outings, hike up the Great Wall of China and dive to the bottom of the ocean.
