Description

Stack Overflow is the can’t-code-without-it site where professional and enthusiast programmers ask their toughest questions and get answers from their peers. Learn, share and level up — on the go — with the Stack Overflow official app.

• Read, ask, answer, comment, flag and vote on questions.

• Get a push notification when someone answers or comments on your question. Anything that would trigger a Stack Overflow inbox message will trigger an app notification. As always, you can easily turn notifications on and off via settings.

• Search and filter by active, newest, votes and more.

• Draft questions on the go, even when you’re offline. Markdown tools make it easy to add images and code blocks.

• Get back to good questions with a browsing-history view that lists questions you’ve recently looked at.

What's New

Version 1.0.1

Bug fixes!

- Fixed a bug where if logging in was taking too long and you tapped "Cancel", the app would crash when the log-in request finally completed. We also fixed things on the backend so some log-ins wouldn't stall so long that you'd want to escape.
- Fixed notification routing if you have both this app and the Stack Exchange app installed. (Both apps need to be updated for the fix to work.)
- Fixed a crash related to CoreData migrations, which was weird, because the app isn't using CoreData.

Nice app that does less than a browser

Andreas.mhm

This Stackoverflow app is a nice app for it's purposes, but doesn't do more than a browser. I still always search in Safari, and get redirected to the app. That is because other websites may have better information, or supplementations. The problem here is that I can only keep one question in view at once.

Navigate back? - Yes!
Undo back navigation? - Is that possible?
Store questions in tabs? - That's only possible in a browser!

I'm a member of several Stack Exchange communities. This app can only be used for Stack Overflow! What about the others I use frequently, like Game Development?

This app has potential, but it's still not been used.

Nice handy App. But more needed

EagerReviewer

App comes very handy to see/answer/edit posts anywhere. But it should show more information about user account (for login user). Also Answering/editing posts become difficult when single-quote and double-quote becomes some other special characters.

E.g
« This is a double quote printed as angle brackets
‘ This is single quote printed as something else.

Also app crashes while minimizing submit preview and doing something else in app.
