Founded in 2007 by singer Richard Carter and guitarist Andreas Yiasmoumi when their previous bands fell apart, Hertsfordshire, England's Blackhole firmed up its lineup with the imminent arrival of second guitarist Nick Mitchell, drummer Alex Hunt, and bassist Max Hart. Fast-forward two years and one independently recorded four-track EP later, and the youthful quintet was busy recording their debut album, Dead Hearts, with name producer Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head, etc.), building upon their hardcore roots with more commercial influences like alternative and indie rock. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
