About Caitlin Canty

Caitlin Canty is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter with a talent for distilling blues, folk, country, and rock into her own signature brand of dusky Americana. Born and raised in Vermont, Canty began writing and performing in her late teens. After graduating from college in Williamstown, Massachusetts, she moved to New York City, where she worked for the Emmy-nominated music television series Live from the Artist's Den. In 2010, with help from Boston-based indie folk quartet Darlingside, she recorded her debut EP. Two years later, she quit her day job and focused all of her energy on music, touring, and performing as a trio with lap steel player Hans Holzen and Kyle Kegerreis on upright bass. That same year, she released her debut full-length, Golden Hour. A move to Nashville followed the release of her acclaimed sophomore long-player, Reckless Skyline. ~ James Christopher Monger
