About Hand

Hand were a short-lived '70s psych folk band from Switzerland. Formed while the members were in high school, Hand centered around Uruguayan-born Marc Osborne along with Tony Angier, Nick Zoullas, Jean Jacques Gauer, Sergio Franzi, Guy Fulop, and Theresa Berens. They recorded one album for Evasion Records, 1971's Everybody's Own. After recording the album, the members of Hand went their separate ways, each attending college and moving on with their lives. While Osborne continued to write music, by the late '80s he had embarked on a career as both a teacher and painter. Over the years, Everybody's Own developed a cult following and was reissued on Golden Pavilion Records in 2011. In April 2013, Osborne and Zoullas reunited for a live concert backed by a group of teenage musicians at a high-school cafeteria in Hamden, Connecticut. In June of that year, Osborne recorded an album of his previously unreleased songs, which was then released as The Other Side of the World on Light in the Attic Records in 2014. Also in 2014, Light in the Attic released a reissue of Everybody's Own. ~ Matt Collar
