Featuring two males and two females, KARD is a rare co-ed group in the K-pop world. • Male members J.Seph and BM were originally slated to be a hip-hop duo, but DSP Media changed its mind. • The Seoul-based quartet infuses Latin pop, tropical house and hip-hop elements into its powerful, passionate dance tracks. • KARD released several singles in advance of their 2017 debut EP, Hola Hola, which peaked at No. 2 on South Korea’s Gaon chart. • Rapper BM takes the lead on producing many of KARD’s songs. • J.Seph went on hiatus in 2020 to fulfill his mandatory South Korean military duty.
