About Mike Keneally

Widely regarded as a virtuosic guitarist-for-all-seasons, Mike Keneally has played with, among others, two generations of Zappas, Steve Vai, and Robert Fripp, and has also enjoyed a career as both a solo artist and the leader of Beer for Dolphins. His flawless technique is well-served by creative, playful prog-oriented songwriting that employs keyboards and Keneally's own rich vocals in addition to guitar. Keneally made his name when he joined the venerable Frank Zappa's band in 1986; he toured and recorded with the group, and when they disbanded two years later, he lent multi-instrumental aid to a number of projects, as well as focusing on solo work. In more recent years, he became a member of the metal band Dethklok.
