The Hickey Underworld are a Belgian alternative rock band whose debut album was a Top Five hit in 2009. Founded in 2005 and based in Antwerp, Belgium, the band is comprised of Younes Faltakh, Jonas Govaerts, Jimmy Wouters, and Georgios Tsakiridis. The D.C. hardcore style of Discord Records is cited as a key influence. In association with the label Naïve, the Hickey Underworld made their self-titled album debut in 2009. Produced by Das Pop, The Hickey Underworld was a Top Five hit on the Belgian charts, peaking at number three in its second week of release. The album includes the Top 20 hit single "Future Words."
