Oracle Database 12c Resource Manager

One of the most important and oftentimes underutilized Oracle 12c database features is that of the Resource Manager. This is an essential facility for achieving optimum database performance. When the proper use of this facility is combined with other performance tuning and optimization features available with Oracle database technology, one is able to effectively support database applications.


While this facility could be considered as highly recommended though optional in a traditional Oracle database configuration, in a multi-tenant configuration of many different pluggable databases enclosed within a shared container, the use of the Oracle Database 12c Resource Manager could even be considered as mandatory.
