In a word, this CD is long. Really long. So, if you are not into electronic music with a heap of vocals and a definite dance orientaton, by-pass this one. Or, if you know someone who hates this music, give it to them to torture them. However, if your tastes are in this direction, Lange has produced a great ranging album that is epic and powerful on all counts.

The soundscape that is created throughout the album is technically advanced and well-executed, with dips and troughs all through it. No track sounds the same, and each track has its own meandering, at times frenetic, journey to travel. The beat is solid, but not overpowering, and it is definitely music to move to. Hell, I can't even dance, and I can't sit still with this album.

Lange has a variety of vocalists contributing, mostly female, and these do not in any way detract from the album. They add an excellent overlay to the music, at times haunting, and at times just purely moving. The vocalists all have rich voices which achieve a tonal depth that is enviable in most circles. I have found in the past that electronica artists can be a little formulaic in their choices of vocalists, but Lange has not followed that and has given each track a very different feel through the voices that complement his music.

For dance and electronica fans, this album is hard to beat, not only because of the massive length, but also because it is a rich, varied and epic musical journey. The only track that took time to grow on me was "Angel", and as for the rest, I instantly loved them. This a great album, and is a hell of a lot of music for your money. Definitely recommended.
