Long Road is worth the wait

I really like this album. It has been a long time coming, there are some classic eagles tunes for now and the future here. How Long is a great track. The epic Long Road out of Eden is mesmerising, as is Waiting in the Weeds. Timothy B. Schmit is in fine voice on I Dont Want to Hear Anymore. Joe Walsh exhibits his talent for grooving on Guilty of the Crime and Last Good Time in Town. Glenn Frey,s Somebody gets funky and sounds like some of his earlier work on the Miami Vice Soundtrack. All in all this album is a fine effort. Hope they make it down here to NZ.

After downloading, purchasing and borrowing many new albums (that shows my age!) over the past year, including most of the USA top ten, and being dissapointed; at last a real gem. Anyone who loved the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and Neil Young from the 70's will just love this wonderful album. I'm sure my adult children will also approve. Thanks to Eagles melody and harmony are still alive and kicking. Along side Jerry Lee Lewis's Last Man Standing this ranks as a major "blast from the past" that makes it today.

Old timers still hangin in

I am happy for the Eagles because I believe when they listened to the final product they knew they still had what it takes! The album is flawless; it's perfect!

At the end of the 20th century, two of those albums -- Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) and Hotel California -- ranked among the ten best-selling albums ever, and the popularity of 2007's Long Road Out of Eden proved the Eagles' staying power in the new millennium. Though most of its members came from outside California, the group was closely identified...
