Album Review

Don't dismiss Paint It Black as a typical wannabe punk band looking to capitalize on the new-millennium wave of angst rock. Their debut album, CVA, is layered with the classic high-speed percussion, throaty vocals, and aggressive presentation found in contemporary punk revivalists; however, Paint It Black don't lose themselves in the process of rebelling against the corporate machine. CVA is loaded with political debates, lacking in tradition, and those aware of punk's ever-changing face will appreciate the bombast of Paint It Black.
