I don't know what Savage was thinking..?
Aaah the Mighty Trumpet... the only good line from an otherwise messy song. I like Savage and respect him as a musician and actually enjoyed a few of his other songs (namely Hot Like Fire and actually... no other songs!) However, I just don't understand why he would join in on this shambles. I was in the Warehouse Stationery the other day and their alarm went off and it was more enjoyable to listen to than some of the synths and some of the other ear damaging noises coming out of this song. The lyrics have no soul to them and the only thing I have to say that is positive is that the very few words this song has require a very loud, shouty voice, and Savage suits this to a T, but he still shouldn't have agreed to work on this travesty.
The man who brought you one of the most sensitive, soulful and brilliantly melodic Kiwi songs of all time - They Don't Know - has officially hit rock bottom. He is no nothing more than a sub-Fatman Scoop hype man, without any of the fun & good feeling the latter brings. A sickeningly awful beat & ugly sounding vocals. A wholly unpleasant experience.
I love this song. Now my favourite song with Taylor Swift as well. Freaks is catching up to Shake it off but Taylor might still be number one with the song freaks.
