Editors’ Notes

Take Me Home picks up where One Direction's debut album left off, all punchy pop-rock anthems (the delirious opening salvo of “Live While We’re Young” and “Kiss You”) and tender acoustic balladry (the Ed Sheeran-cowritten “Little Things” and “Over Again”). Perhaps the album's most intriguing moments, however, are the Dr. Luke-produced, Queen-referencing “Rock Me” and the plaintive “Change My Mind”—both of which hint at the band’s more mature, stadium-slaying sound that was to come.

Customer Reviews

Even better than the first!

As a slighlty older fan of One Direction, I thought I'd give a more helpful review. As much as I love the first album and still do, I think this album is even better. The upbeat songs are better written with more of an edge to them and the slower songs seem more personal (as the boys played a bigger part in songwriting).

I would definitely recommend buying the whole album but if your just looking at buying the singles then the 3 upbeat songs I suggest you buy are: Heart Attack, Kiss You and Back For You (definitely future singles).
For slower, more romantic songs I recommend Last First Kiss, They Don't Know About Us and Summer Love. (There's also Over Again, written by Ed Sheeran but it sounds like it SHOULD be sung by Ed Sheeran and to me sounds a bit like they are trying too hard to sound like him)

Overall, it's a great album and I definitely recommend buying it. It's definitey worth spending the extra few $ for the bonus singles & added extras on the Yearkbook Edition. Enjoy fellow Directioners!

Following the success of JLS and the Wanted, X-Factor contestants One Direction were the next group of heartthrobs to help revive the boy band concept. The quintet outdid all of its predecessors, becoming the biggest boy band since Take That, selling millions of albums and singles, filling arenas and making movies, all while hitting number one many times over across the world with undeniably hooky songs and plenty of boy-next-door charm. The group was formed by Niall Horan from Mullingar, Ireland;...
