Customer Reviews

Something different but refreshingly so.

Listening to her first label release you can be forgiven for thinking it slightly primitive with "Lilly Allen-esque" vocals however something magic happens... Certain songs go round and round in your head like a mini cyclone and even when the speakers are off you have a smile on your face. Yes the music seems simple, but joyfully so. Lyrically I feel Kate Nash hits a wide audience and has a funny/cute way of voicing her boy woes. Underlying the vocal track is some very sweet production. "Pumpkin Soup" is bound to be a clear hit while her first release "Foundations" also gets your fingers tapping. I also love "Skeleton Song" I think the lyrics are hilarious and even after 20 odd plays it's still a great track! Despite the upperclass swanky critics saying nasties about this album take it from me that this is good... very good! Listeners are proving it too as it steadily climbs the charts worldwide. I like Lilly Allen too but this is definitely better. Kate Nash is Lilly Allen minus the 'geezerness'. Brilliant album, and I would say worth the risk if you are unsure.
