This three-disc, 60-track retrospective features many of Maxime le Forestier's hits as well as some of his better-known album tracks. The material is mostly from the studio, though a handful or so of live performances are also included to round things out. In some cases, fans may argue about what might have been included as opposed to what's actually here, but no one can dispute that this is truly representative of the popular songwriter's oeuvre.

Maxime le Forestier emerged in the wake of the student revolts of May 1968 to become one of France's most popular and acclaimed protest singers.
