The singer-songwriter’s most adventurous album is also her most rewarding. A hip-hop songwriter, pop experimenter and Joni Mitchell obsessive, Grey fuses her worlds enthrallingly here. Processed beats skitter off ghostly, backwoods vocals (“Jump”), Eminem turns up with murder in mind on the graceful R&B of “Kill for You” and folk is warped over a bed of electronica (“We Used to Be Bad”).
