Album Review

As late as April, the title of Eminem’s follow-up to Relapse was set to be titled Relapse 2, but the accumulating material for the release continued to stray farther away from the sound of Relapse. Realizing it wouldn’t make sense to treat his seventh studio album as a sequel — from both lyrical and production standpoints — Eminem dubbed it Recovery. Proving the veteran MC’s continued relevance, “Not Afraid,” the album's first single, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number one.

Best album ever

Hay this album takes a big risk between being pop and rap with the first couple of tracks I am a huge Eminem fan and have all albums up to date including Recovery. I thogut Recovery is Eminem's best album to date With Relapse being second best if you like Beautiful(Track 17 of Relapse) Forever(Track 1 of Relapse Refill) or Crazy in love(Track 17 of Encore) I guarantee you will love this album. And if you are a first time album buyer looking to buy an Eminem album this would definitly be the one. This album provides somthing for everyone including some serious tracks "Not afraid",a bit of pop "Love the way you lie ft Rihanna", and some funny tracks "W.T.P" and "So bad". So in my opinion this is definitly a 5 star album you definitly have to buy.

Best Rapper Alive

Uplifting, Emotional, Intense, Funny. This album is Eminem back to his best. No stupid accents. I hope but don't think he can top this

Best Songs: Love The Way you lie, 25 to Life, No Love, Going Through Changes, You're Never Over etc

This album is absolutely fantastic. I'm a huge eminem fan and I have all his albums. The last couple have been pretty average but two words sum up this recovery album - he's back. Em's back to his best. He's re established himself as the #1 rapper on the planet and a true lyrical genius. After the last 2 albums I was doubting that Em would ever get back to his best, but he's definately done it. This album is a must have. You're a legend Em!

To call Eminem hip-hop's Elvis is correct to a degree, but it's largely inaccurate. Certainly, Eminem was the first white rapper since the Beastie Boys to garner both sales and critical respect, but his impact exceeded this confining distinction. On sheer verbal skills, Eminem was one of the greatest MCs of his generation -- rapid, fluid, dexterous, and unpredictable, as capable of pulling off long-form narrative as he was delivering a withering aside -- and thanks to his mentor Dr. Dre, he had music...
