Adobe Digital Editions 4+

I had to use this app to download a book for uni. The website gave me no other option than this awful app. It doesn’t work! None of the pages downloaded correctly, it was just white pages with small smudges of black where the words were supposed to be. I couldn’t read a thing past the two first pages. I don’t know who decided this app was ready to be released to the public, but they were dead wrong.
Don’t bother using this app, it’s the absolute worst.
If you need a pdf reader/markup app, try CollaNote: it’s great, really easy to use, free, with no ads, and best of all, it actually makes readable pdfs!

Honestly baffled as to how a twenty-four BILLION dollar corporation can produce such a comically terrible app.

The text is partially covered by the iPhone’s notch and is so small that you need to be an ant to read it. No resize option, but there is a buggy zoom feature. Crashes randomly. Figured out that you need to quit the app, safari, download, share, open with digital editions, enter adobe ID just to import books, possibly twice depending on whether or not it actually appears in your library.

Oh and the UI text is completely misaligned.

What’s the point of highlighting an ADE pdf when you can’t extract, save, or even get an annotation summary of your highlights. The app also has no capability to recognise hyperlinks within the document. Highlighting text is as painful as dragging fingernails on chalkboard. ADE doesn’t even sync books across authorised devices. I had no choice but to use ADE because that’s what my library uses. What a waste of time using this app when I can’t rerieve the info I need for my research!
