Choice by Flick Electric Co is the first app that gives Kiwis real time info about the carbon impact of the electricity in the system, and the market price of power.
This means Kiwis now have a Choice - about the environmental impact of using electricity, and the price they pay.
Choice is free for all of us to use, and we reckon that’s totally Choice.

New Zealand makes lots of clean electricity, but even a little bit of the dirty stuff has a big carbon impact. And when you switch on, you get what you get, no matter who you’re with.
For the first time we’re showing Kiwis what’s in the national grid and giving them Choice:
- Live information about the total carbon impact of electricity generation
- Ability to receive alerts based on the total carbon emissions, so you know when electricity use is having a big environmental impact
- Information about the different types of electricity generation in New Zealand and their emissions

- Ability to set high price alerts so you know when to reduce your usage

What's New in Version 1.1.2
- We've fixed a small bug. You can now log out of your app (although we're not sure why you would want to).
- This release will also reduce some instances of the app crashing.
