Ad gur
I used to love Imgur. Didn’t mind the ad between posts. Didn’t mind the ad banner on the comments. We all need money, but it’s basically nothing but ads now. Most of which are dating apps and the like. Sort it out Imgur. You are ruining a good thing
Do you like ads?
It used to be alright with having an ad at the bottom of every post, and then every 10 or so posts another swipe through ad. Now putting an ad every 5 photos in dumps is crossing the line. It’s impossible to enjoy any post with more than 4 photos because your experience gets ruined by seeing ads pop up. They aren’t just small bars too, they are the same size as the photos. Instantly takes you out of the memes and laughs and into a bad mood. Ads are understandable but not like this. Worse than free to play games.
Keeps giving me a notification badge
I’m not sure why but the app keeps getting a notification badge as if I have a notification I haven’t checked yet, but when I go into the app there’s nothing? I think the badge is telling me I have something new in my feed, which I find kind of annoying because I have to actually open the app and clear it even if I’m not interested in looking. Ended up uninstalling the app because of this.
