Ratings and Reviews
I’m quite patient and accommodating and rarely (never) rate apps but the frustration generated by this unreliable, inflexible app has prompted me to rate it as poorly as I could. Particularly since the previous version worked like a dream. I just wonder what improved customer experience the developers thought they were creating. They missed the mark by a long mile in my experience. Over the last month I’ve turned up to catch non-existent buses, missed busses that I had over 5 minutes to wait for according to the app, walked away from bus stops because busses disappeared off the app only to see them zoom past me a couple minutes later and waited for the app to re-fresh only to find the information has changed significantly between one minute and the next. Please Metlink fix this. At least reinstate the ability to refresh the app oneself - the auto refresh in too inflexible.
Not as good as the old app
I hate panning an app, but this one is terrible - at least for my needs. For a regular commuter who wants to check the timetable or quickly check updates the favourites page is horrible to work with - and occasionally forgets the entries. The upcoming times isn’t a full 24 hrs, or even 12, so at 9pm I cant work out which earlier-than-normal train I can catch tomorrow.
The interface is poky.
My impression is they tried to deliver too many fancy features like journey planning and messed up the basics.
I’ll keep using the old ‘Metlink’ app for as long as it continues to work.
Fabulous app <3
Love it! <3 Can’t do without it! Highly recommended for people who need to know how long they have to get to their bus stop/train station!
For those who need an A-to-B planner, I suggest you use the full browser service. This app wasn’t built as an A-to-B planner to keep it cute, quick, and light. Completely delivers on its design intent as a portable arrivals board!
