FEATURES:

SECURITY:
Your credentials and data are secured and never leave your devices - AES encryption. For additional protection, the bluetooth communication channel is internally encrypted.
REQUIREMENTS:
Near Lock requires a Mac that is running Mavericks or later. Your Mac also needs to support the latest Bluetooth LE technology.
The following Macs support Bluetooth LE:

• MacBook Pro 2012 or newer
• Mac mini 2011 or newer

COOL!
It's good for when at work/school not having to worry about leaving your computer open.. I think that it could be a bit better on the distance side but it does what it is mean to :)!!
Good idea but doesn't work reliably
Good when it works but it only works properly about 50% of the time. Other times you have to knock 4 or 5 times or it takes 10-15 seconds to unlock leaving you looking foolish. I'm in two minds about just deleting it. I don't want to get the pro version in case it's just as unreliable.
Update: I've just updated to the latest version and now it won't unlock in the background (the previous FREE version did do background unlock) so DON'T update if you have the free version which works in the background.....
I've now deleted it. A good idea but doesn't work reliably enough.
Good idea but no
I wanted it mostly to unlock the iMac when restarting but doesn’t work. Just doesn’t work reliably enough for me atm.
