Amazing
This app was really helpful for me (a new nhl fan) the rules were easily showed and I love the goal notifications as well really great game
Poor UX…still, and as expected
Leave it to the NHL to completely redesign its app and somehow have it be worse than the original.
1. Box scores don’t actually show the box score information (ie. stats from all dressed players in tabular form)
2. Littered with distracting ads
3. Still inadequate time zone support here (in NZ), with wrong information showing for days/slate of games
4. The need to sit through a 13s ad to watch a 28s highlight
5. Still unclear whether there is even a live streaming option for us here in this part of the world, since the ESPN+ deal ravaged our NHL TV access
It looks like the stats UI has been nicely redesigned for a good in-app experience, but for the most basic use of tracking games day to day, it’s still a frustrating experience to use. I tend still to rely on The Score instead, for now.
Outside of America your screwed
Have had the app and also paid subscription for years -10 years. What’s with the change the app makes when selecting watch game, which makes you download ESPN app. Only to tell you games can’t be watched in your region. Biggest puck up in years. Close minded to think or not care about viewers outside America/USA. Expecting a fix ASAP
