The Nova Energy app – all the things you need to manage your energy in one easy to use application.
Use the app to see your electricity and/or gas usage, get payment reminders and pay your energy bill quickly and simply from your smartphone.
The app is only currently available for Nova residential customers.
If you're already a Nova customer, download the app to:
- Get notifications about your bill.
- View your electricity and/or gas usage graphs and compare these to your previous usage.
- Pay your bill by credit card or online eftpos for one off payments or set up recurring payments so your bill is paid automatically and on time each month.
- Receive payment reminders so you don’t miss your prompt payment discount.*
To register on the App:
- Login using either your Facebook or Google details.
- Then enter your Nova account number (this can be found at the top of your bill) and date of birth. These are required so we can link the App to your account.
- For security purposes a text or email will be sent to the contact details registered to your Nova account with a code to complete the registration process.
* Prompt payment discount is subject to you paying your account in full and by the due date

Requires social media login
No user/password option to use this, as result your privacy and data can be used/minded/sold on as needed. Dear nova devs, what are you doing? Do you think all your customers are so computer illiterate they want to trade away their privacy? Also, in addition I tried to access my nova account through the web and with shock found out that this is no longer possible or I did not find the link on the mobile website. If I could have rated this -1 star it would be derserving
App doesn’t give any details hourly/ daily or weekly use. Only old data is shown, something I also can see on paper bill. Why do I have logon with one of my social media accounts?? Don’t like the idea of you also storing my Google/Facebook details. How secure are you?? Genesis App which I use to use was on the other hand brilliant. Have a talk to them, see if you can borrow their intel. At least they know on how to make use of “smart” meters.

Unfortunately in this initial release our app doesn’t provide daily/weekly usage for smart meter customers; however this is being developed. As a smart meter customer we will let you know as soon as this functionality is available.
Social logins are a secure method for Nova to verify your identity; however Nova doesn’t save or see your social login password or any other details. This information is collected directly by Google or Facebook.
Needs more functionality
Look forward to the ability to monitor power usage on our smart meter being added as suggested. Until then not a lot of use.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
