ParkMate is the smartest and easiest way for you to pay for your parking. Using your phone's GPS and Google Maps, ParkMate allows you to easily find a car park or select the car park you are in. Then you simply hit 'START YOUR PARKING' to commence and 'STOP YOUR PARKING' when you are done. It really is that simple!
With ParkMate, you no longer need to queue in the rain to pay for your parking. You no longer need to carry a huge sack of coins around with you. You no longer need to keep putting your credit card into a pay & display machine. Best of all, you no longer need to guess how long you may need to park. You control your parking from your smartphone!
Once you have easily registered your ParkMate account, ParkMate provides you with the best parking rate available including the Earlybird rate (if available). ParkMate also allows you to select how often you would like reminders that your parking session is active or when you would like to be reminded that your Earlybird parking is ending (if you want to extend your stay, you can without needing to return to your car!). For 'peace-of-mind' ParkMate displays a timer on your phone, so you can always see your parking session is active and how long you have parked for.
ParkMate - simply is the coolest way of paying for your parking on the planet.

Not user friendly
When ParkMate works, it’s a very handy way to pay for parking which I wholly recommend. However, it is continuously logging me out of my account and then does not accept my details, so I have to go through the whole process of retrieving my password multiple times, which takes longer than it would to pay for my parking manually. I also believe some of the user interface is confusing, and it’s misleading that after I select my carpark and it takes me to the next screen, which makes me think everything is confirmed, I then have to scroll downwards to see the confirm button, which could catch people out if they weren’t aware. Having the confirm button at the top of the screen would solve this. On the next page, after you hit confirm it has another button that says “go home”. It seems uncertain whether this means you want to end your session early, or go back to the home page. I’ve spoken to others and they have wondered the same thing, and usually just never touch it. Some clarification in these area would help communication in the app, and make it more user friendly to your customers.
Excellent app, fines a bit outrageous
This is a very handy app for paying for parking. Much easier than other systems I've tried for paying parking online (Frogparking for example).
In the latest update they even fixed the only bug I was aware of (address showed as Wellington instead of Palmerston North)
One caveat though, the fines (in Palmy anyway) for forgetting to pay are a bit over the top, $65 charge for forgetting to pay $4.50 is silly. That's more the fault of those setting charges than the app itself.
Love the convenience this app gives me especially when they responded to requests to make it available at my local carpark that has 3 or 5 day parking. I miss the convenience when I park somewhere that I can't use it. Will be better when it will store multiple regos for the car pool. Only issue was the day I had phone issues and had to pay the higher credit card rates :(
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
