PayMyPark allows users to pay for parking from their iPhone in New Zealand and Australia.
You can pay for parking using a credit/debit card or you can create an account and use a stored balance.
Choose to park for a fixed period, or use start-stop mode if you aren't sure how long you need to park for.
If you've brought a fixed period and need more time, you can extend your current parking.
If you've paid for parking and a warden checks your vehicle, they will automatically be notified that you've already paid.
PayMyPark is currently available only for street parking and carparks managed by Wellington City Council, New Plymouth District Council, Tauranga City Council, Hamilton City Council, Hutt City Council, Timaru District Council, Dunedin City Council and Waitaki District Council.

Ratings and Reviews
Great app if it works.
Love the convenience / concept however it pays to have a back up payment plan as several times when I’ve wanted to use it I’m told the app has failed to download data and to restart internet! Unfortunately this seems impossible to do and all you can do is wait for app to become “usable” again. My advice would be to not load too much $$ onto the App as it appears unstable and a bit untrustworthy to actually be able to use it when you need it.
On the plus side when I’ve actually been able to use it to pay for my park I’ve not been issued any parking fines due to lack of windscreen ticket!
NZ needs better
This is the worst app on my iPhone, and one I really need to use. It is clunky and the most unnecessary and infuriating problem is that it forces updates to go only through the NZ App Store. So many of us have ended up mainly using some other country’s App Store, why force users to spend half an hour trying to figure out how to change app stores. Whenever this happens, the money I’ve loaded on this app becomes useless until I can get it to update. Our cities need to switch apps. #wellington!
Super Expensive to use
Seems to work ok but it won’t work at all if there is an outstanding update so you’d need to use your mobile data curb side to update before you can pay for your park. Then you’re exposed to a potential ticket if that takes more than 10 min in Wellington.
Biggest objection are the fees. 7-8% to pre-pay! Then you get stung another 25c for every transaction.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
