About Gonzalo Yañez
Gonzalo Yáñez is a Latin pop singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Chile who experienced international success as a solo artist and also in collaboration with others. Born in Uruguay, he moved to Santiago in 1995 and formed the band No Me Acuerdo with some college friends. After they broke up, however, Yáñez finished one of their albums alone and released it in 2004 as his full-length solo debut, Gonzalo Yáñez. Meanwhile, he was invited to join Los Prisioneros for the recording of the legendary Chilean rock band's latter-day comeback album Manzana. His third album, 2008's Dispara, was repackaged as Gonzalo Yáñez for international release. ~ Jason Birchmeier
