About Joey Wright

A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo), singer, and songwriter, Joey Wright is a much in demand player on Canada's bluegrass and acoustic folk scene, having worked with Amy Millan, Oh Susanna, Pierre Schryer, Ron Hynes, and John Southworth as well as with his wife, Jenny Whiteley, and he has had a longstanding gig touring and recording with Sarah Harmer and is a member of the bluegrass ensemble Crazy Strings. His album releases as a solo artist include 2003's Camp, 2005's Clearly, and his debut for Black Hen Music, 2007's all-instrumental Jalopy. Wright currently makes his home in Elphin, Ontario, with occasional extended stints in Toronto. ~ Steve Leggett
