Formerly named Kamikazee Cornflakes, they gained early cult notoriety for jocular records and frontman Jay Contreras’ stage antics. But 2006’s Maharot and hits “Narda” and “Chiksilog” launched an unapologetically untamed brand of Pinoy comedy rock. It found nationwide appeal, and that the void created by their 2015 hiatus necessitated a 2017 comeback concert and new, punchier EPs, assuring audiences more years of unhinged fun.
