A Spanish extreme metal group focused on occult-heavy, myth-building black metal, Noctem, emerged in 2001 from the port city of Valencia. One of the region's most vital metal acts, the band has been operational for over two decades and has toured throughout Europe, Asia, Russia, and North America. 2019's Black Consecration saw the band deliver its most resonant set of blackened death metal yet, a style the group refined even further on its fifth full-length effort, 2022's deep and unrelenting Credo Certe NE Cras.
