Sons of the Sea

About Sons of the Sea

Finding two alt-rock heavyweights coming together, Sons of the Sea is a collaboration between Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd and producer and multi-instrumentalist Brendan O'Brien. The pair had initially met after O'Brien produced a handful of Incubus records, including 2011's If Not Now, When?, and decided it would be interesting to get together to write songs as a pair. The result is a band that pairs O'Brien's award-winning production with Boyd's soaring vocals to create a whirlwind of eclectic alt-pop. Sons of the Sea debuted in 2013 with an EP, Compass, before releasing an eponymously titled album later that year. ~ Gregory Heaney
