Redemption for a scrambled franchise

If you love the X-Men movies, or maybe just the first two, you will love this film. Bryan Singer uses this film to correct the mistakes that have been present since his departure. Simon Kinberg's script is Colossus-solid. The best aspects of the previoius films are all present - heart, extremely inventive action (the opening fight scene is astounding at making use of several mutants' powers) and the same fun characters.
If you're going to watch this film, make sure to watch the original trilogy and First Class first for the best experience. Newcomers are welcome, but that is how the film is best enjoyed.
This is by far the most emotional blockbuster of the year. For some of you, I know will dig into your nostalgia with its adamantium claws.

Good movie

Great team

Fun if Cliched

The movie is well produced, great visuals. It’s the familiar “travel back in time to change the future” premise, and like the previous X-Men movie, references historical events, and is more character driven i.e: this is not a Michael Bay movie where everything is exploding non-stop, but it does have some great special effects and tense action sequences. My favourite scene would have to be the Quicksilver one… Oh yeah, there is a teaser after the credits ;)
