Explore exclusive, never released dive footage from Director James Cameron’s expeditions to the final resting place of the Titanic upon the ocean floor. Mr. Cameron generously donated this exclusive footage to CyArk to create the Titanic Database Project for public access as part of CyArk's heritage archive (www.cyark.org). All proceeds from the sale of this app will go to fund future phases of the Titanic Database Project.

Until its April 14, 1912 sinking, following a collision with an iceberg that claimed over 1500 lives, RMS Titanic was the biggest and most luxurious of the Olympic-class ocean liners built during the prosperous Edwardian era around the turn of the 20th century. The wreckage of the RMS Titanic split into its bow and stern portions during the sinking, which today lie on the ocean floor over 1900 feet (600 meters) from each other and 12,467 feet (3800 meters) below the surface. James Cameron has conducted numerous expeditions to document the wreckage and ultimately selected CyArk as the archive for his 2001 and 2005 dive footage.
The Titanic Database Project is a collaborative effort between experts within the Titanic Community, many volunteers, and CyArk.
