Cinderella Essentials

That '80s hair metal is what helped Philly's Cinderella become famous is irrelevant—listen close and you'll detect a band truly in love with rock 'n' roll, as well as R&B, soul and even gospel. Led by frontman Tom Keifer's larynx-shredding vocals, and mostly working from an AD/DC-meets–The Faces template, the band sold millions with their 1986 debut Night Songs. On their second LP, '88's Long Cold Winter, the band broadened their sound and hit the pop charts alongside Mötley Crüe and Poison. Two more albums followed in the '90s, but sales waned as grunge had overtaken rock.
