Reseña de álbum

This generous DVD offering is also very much a child of its era. The main program, the 1977 Caught Live documentary, was a record of the group's most recent European tour, and spends much of its time pursuing Barclay James Harvest around soundchecks and bus rides, interspersed with a handful of live performances that only occasionally resolve themselves into full songs. As an example of mid-'70s rockumentary making, it has few peers — backstage japes and off-stage problems are given as much prominence as on-stage successes, and the bandmembers' own interview segments are only as illuminating as the audiences of the day demanded. More satisfying is the bonus program, capturing four songs from Barclay James Harvest's 1974 show at London's Drury Lane Theatre. The same performances of "Crazy City," "For No One," "Mockingbird," and "The Great 1974 Mining Disaster" are all readily available, of course, on the band's Live album, but still footage of the group at this particular peak is a pleasure to watch.

They were signed to EMI at the same time as Pink Floyd, and...
