Singer, songwriter and producer Dawin fuses pop, R&B and EDM to create hits like his 2015 platinum single “Dessert”. • The Brooklyn native grew up playing guitar and piano. He began taking music seriously at 16. • He gained widespread attention in 2014 when he posted a video of his debut single, “Just Girly Things”, set to a clip of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro doing his famous “Carlton dance”. The viral video landed him a deal with Republic Records. • In 2015, Dawin’s single “Dessert”—from his eponymous debut EP—peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
