The update was great but needs some polishing
Overall, the latest update is great. Simpler and more user friendly UI although I think there are still rooms for improvement. For me, the UI of the initial screen (the screen you immediately see before logging in the app that shows your balance and latest 4 transactions) should be simplified in the same way as the main screen (the screen after you logged in). And also I think the smoothness or softness of the animation in the main screen UI should be improved i.e. when pulling up the transactions tray/list, you can’t really see the tray moving up at the same time with your finger, and when your finger is already on top the tray/list will lag and then abruptly appears on top. Also sometimes the image of the card disappears 😁
OTP / Mobile Token
My OTP does not work after numerous overseas calls to Citiphone to fix it (paid a fortune each call minimum of 30 minutes) and was assured in 3 days all will be ok, been 3 weeks and facing the same problem. Such a hassle whenever you call you need to go thru the verification process which needs the OTP. I cant send an email thru the site too as OTP is required. Tried the Mobile token option but does not work and would always say pin has expired without 5 minutes passed! I have a problem with my statement showing interest when payment due made on time and no way to contact Citi - Tried the chat option which is useless as agent cant help for such queries due to security. Im left with no option its frustrating! Member since 1998 and never been this annoyed! Its unbelievable.
Best Mobile Banking Experience
Clearly, the Citi mobile banking experience is lightyears ahead from local banks’. In terms of functionality and overall user experience, it offers a lot which makes it less likely for me to call a customer service rep. As point for improvement, please make the Rewards tab functional, as it does not offer anything other than listing my benefits which I already know. I want to be able to redeem my miles/pts through the mobile app.
