High fares, availability and reliability issues

I have been a bona Fife user of Careem for years. It without doubt has provided convenience and increased the safety index level esp in a city like Karachi. Careem captains have always been nice and understanding providing their utmost support in terms of a smooth ride, good behaviour and fair dealing. Careem has indeed spoiled us as being a customer. However, the passage of time, and changing economic scenario have affected Careem services as well. Availability of a ride comes first as we go on with this topic. The growing demand needs have to be fulfilled which doesn’t seems to be catered by Careem management or else its being used as one of the tools to increase the amount of a fare. Peak time makes me worry and it’s now a common trend. Next of course comes the gradually increasing fares which are more than doubled until now. Allah forbade what’s comes next! Last but not least, it seems Careem has stopped being prudent about its choice of a Captain. Anyone can become a Careem captain which shows lack of scrutiny measures on the part of the service providers. Recently I have been forged by a Careem captain but can’t claim my money back since I have no proof to pay the said amount of money to the Captain. It means that Careem has to optimise it’s system to make it more reliable and fool proof. A stricter scrutiny and considerate mode can make Careem a further success.

Careem App issues of charging high fares

My family had booked careem in last couple of weeks couple of times in Islamabad and they have been charged the double the actual or estimated fare per kilometre. At the end when they received the bill it was of less amount while driver at the time of ending rides take more amount saying application is showing the kilometres traveled double the actual travel distance.. when my family contacted careem for returning the extra charges taken due to their application issue then 2nd time they were rude and said you complaining us again and we just returned you once the amount last week and we won’t return this time.

This is very surprising because if the issue is of your application or whatever due to which you are showing double the distance traveled and charging the double to passenger and then feeling bad to refund extra money taken. I request that Careem responsible authorities takes action to resolve such issues including cancellation issues.

Additionally, I have observed now many careem drivers keeps on cancelling rides and or transfer rides to other drivers while the passenger who has to travel keep waiting and his/her time is wasted. It happened to me 2-3 times and I got late going to office and coming back from office to home as well. I had to rebook again and again to find driver who is willing to accept the ride..

Many Issues some are listing

Careem captain will never call you in karachi you have to call them within 2 minuets time rather than he will cancel the ride and he will charge you 100 rupees without going any where and once you have been changed 100 rupees than you book again you have to pay cancellation charges with the current fare it’s totally miss management of Careem, Pakistan. And they started new drama that in between current ride they pick another booking and capten will call you I cannot come at your place i am booking another car for you from customer center and you have to agree because you have no other option at that time then the real drama starts Careem software will never book you another car without calling them on them on customer service Center. And in the end you will always see that there is peek factor in the system. You guys are only making money and providing 0 services to your customer. Make yourself better or move from Pakistan.
