Easy to use interface, decent optimisation
This app has come a long way- it certainly wasn’t the most decent ones out there, but now it surely has to be out there as one of the best, if not the best – I can’t surely make that claim since I haven’t used them all. From paying utility bills to mobile bill payments, transferring funds to accounts within HBL or other banks, to paying your credit card bills – all from the comfort of your home through your smartphone surely is convenient to say the least. In addition to that, you can also check your statement for the last 30 days. That feature needs to worked on though – in my opinion there should be an option to download your statements on weekly, monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis.
Critical to mention – doing your banking in a secured and updated way. With touch ID access enabled, you can login to your account without always having to enter your password, transaction password needs to be entered for all transactions however- which is a decent added security as far as I’m concerned.
If you’re an HBL account holder and not using HBL Mobile, you’re missing out on a lot of convenience.
HBL Mobile App Credit Card section
Since the new interface of the HBL mobile app, the credit card section in it has gone worse, sometimes proper current bill is not shown, due date of the last bill visibility is no more there, one cannot see due date of the last generated credit card bill in the app statement of the particular month, also there is a major glitch and bug in viewing previous month’s bill in the credit card statement section, as of now i selected month of November in the statement section and it gives an error that no transaction are found, whereas i have done spending of PKR 45,000 in last statement of bill. I am extremely disappointed, as i dun know what the IT department is doing in developing this app, they can’t fix such major bugs in this app. Even a kid would highlight them n take action against it.

The services are for show and don’t really work
I tried to change my contact info from the option provided in the app and nothing happened. I called the help line and was told that it takes 24 hours to complete the change of information. Now a week has passed and still no results. I have tried several times. Just to give another example. I tried to order a new cheque book through the app but alas a failure again. Nothing happed.
I belive these services to be not working and only there for the purpose of luring users.
Also there is no option for telenor top ups or bill payment (reasons unknown) and yes i tried asking. The answer was yes we don’t do too ups or bills for telenor users. No reason. Any how i use this app to check my account balance every bow and then and for that its accurate but everything else is vague.
The two examples above are proof of it.
