iTunes Editors' Notes

This greatest-hits collection can serve as a basic introduction to two distinct phases in Van Halen's career: the early years with David Lee Roth and the later years with Sammy Hagar. (The Gary Cherone phase was still to come.) Plus, it includes two bonus tracks—"Can't Get This Stuff No More" and "Me Wise Magic"—that reunited the Van Halen brothers (and bassist Michael Anthony) with David Lee Roth and served as a warning shot that they'd eventually reunite for a full album 16 years later.
